Week 3: Minimal Colour
This week introduce yourself to every one and capture
a black and white photo of you!
Hi, my name is Bonnie. Let me start off by saying that I really dislike having my photo taken. I look like a washed out rat. And I usually appear crabby or have my mouth open or have a idiotic smirk on my face. I avoid cameras whenever I can.
This is a photo of my reflection in a mirror. |
Let's share, via comments, what you see when you look at the photos of the other participants. I bet the results will be much different than our own perspectives.
Love that Mona Lisa Smile! Great picture, Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Beti. All told, that isn't such a bad photo of me. *smile*
DeleteSweet photo, but do I detect a bit of mischievousness in that smile?
ReplyDeleteWho me? I do not know what you are talking about. I'm a sweet, innocent grandmother. *wink*
DeleteBonnie you have a beautiful smile. Great job on your photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Becky. It turned out better than I thought it would.
DeleteLike that smirk on your face. I have the same problem with my hair.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary K. I swear that my hair has a mind of it's own some days!
DeleteBonnie, all I see is a beautiful woman who has something mischievous in mind!
ReplyDeleteSweet, innocent grandmother...that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. *smile*
DeleteSuch a lovely photo of such a lovely lady :) I got my wee gift yesterday - you are too, too kind, Bonnie! I'd love to know what gems you used...
ReplyDeleteI recently discovered I was born under the Celtic calendar Willow sign - so to me, the tree is a willow! I shall treasure it - thank you!!
Thank you, Claire. I'm glad your little package arrived safely. The stone chips are peridot.
DeleteI did wonder... they're a favourite stone! I'm wearing it now - looks just lovely against my pumpkin-coloured sweater :) xx
DeleteI love your mischievous smile...well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sandi. Even if the smile hadn't given me away, my eyes would have.
DeleteWe are our own worst critics. You are beautiful and hair? Eh - if you ask me it has a mind of its own.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Patty. Hair does have a mind of it's own, and it rarely corresponds with what I want it to do.
DeleteIt's true - it seems that our whole group does not like having our photos taken. You look like you have an amazing secret.... or perhaps are thinking about your next beady project. Love the personality you capture!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Paula, for your kind words. And I DO have a secret...but I'm not telling what it is. *smile*
DeleteWhat a fantastic photo! It takes courage to do this and you did it very well.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking mischievous too! IThis is such a pretty picture!
ReplyDeleteYou look nothing at all like a washed out rat! But I did have to smile when you made that comment, because I think we all feel a bit like that when we take our pics for all to see and comment on. I think you're beautiful and I love your hair by the way,...and your little mischievous smile! ;-) Gorgeousness.
ReplyDeleteI said this to someone else... we are all to critical of ourselves. There is nothing more beautiful than a woman who owns her look because only you can be the beauty you are meant to be. And you are beautiful. You have a softness, a kindness in your eyes. You have a smirk that is hinting at fun and mischief. And you have a glow about you. Own your beauty Miss Bonnie! Enjoy the day! Erin
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words, Erin. Okay, I will admit to a wee bit of mischief once in a while. *wink*
DeleteGreat photo, makes me wonder what you are up to!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sweet, innocent grandmother. I couldn't possibly be up to any mischief, could I?
DeleteI hear you Bonnie, I quieted my thoughts about my own photos by not writing them down. It is so easy to pick apart ourselves. I see such a warm and friendly smile, and the gaze gives it that hint of a smirk which means for good times surely. Beautiful friend!
ReplyDeleteWell I think you may be a sweet ,innocent grandmother to your grandchildren...but to us....that know ya....we can see that mischief just brewing under the surface...lol...excellent photo and post!
ReplyDeleteI didn't fool you at all, Veralynne, did I? You can see right through me. LOL
DeleteMuch better mirror picture than mine... obviously not taken in an interior bathroom... I think that's a lovely 'smirk'!
ReplyDeleteIt actually is an interior bathroom photo. I had the flash turned off.
DeleteI love your photo Bonnie, as others have said before, you really do look mischevious.
ReplyDeleteI love your smirk - it looks like you have something funny to tell me. Great photo!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture!
ReplyDeleteI see a beautiful woman who enjoys life.
