Focusing on Life - Week 29

'Do you have a daily routine? A routine that you look forward to each day? This week focus on the beauty and comfort of our everyday routine.'

Human beings are creatures of habit, routine and ritual. A number of factors dictate our actions, including our work/school schedule and our need to eat and drink on a regular basis.

Animals are creatures of habit, routine and ritual also. Take, for instance, my cat Minoux. Every morning, rain or shine, weekday or weekend, she is on my bed in my face meowing at 6 a.m.

6 a.m. is her breakfast time. Nothing will deter her from that mission until it is accomplished. If it means she has to walk all over me or knock things off my dresser to get my attention, she does it.

Once her morning routine has been attended to, I can focus on mine which is preparing and drinking my tea.

Since i don't have a photo of me drinking tea, I altered one that I found online of someone else drinking tea. *smile*

To see the 'routine' photos of the other participants, check out the links below. Have a great weekend everyone! I'm off to a family reunion today. It should be fun!

  1. I have two cats and one of them is like your cat Minoux, doing everything in her power to get me out of bed to feed her.

  2. She's very cute, but 6am for breakfast is way too early - does she never have a lie in? Not even on Sundays?!

  3. LOL, I have a dog that is the same way....once the sun starts peeking out she thinks it is time for breakfast. She will make all kinds of little noises until I get up and feed her. I can go back to bed if I want...just as long as she is fed! What would we do without our animals.....

  6. Yes, my cats are very determined to get their food on time as well. The chorus of meows can be something to hear.

  7. I am glad that Sheldon lives outside so he can't wake me up.

  8. Our dogs definitely dictate our daily routine. How could I forget that?! Maybe that's what happens - it's routine so it doesn't pop out at you.
