After much deliberation, I decided to use this one.
I love all the colour palettes but the final choice was solidified for me when I came across the beautiful lampwork focal bead that I purchased many years ago and never used. It had 3 of the 5 colours in it! Perfect.
Here is the piece that I created with it...
I used two strands of 1mm waxed cotton cord and knotted between the beads. A new technique I've been experimenting with lately.
Check out the creations of the other participants. I will add direct links once everyone has posted. I can't wait to see which colour palette everyone else selected.

Very pretty Bonnie. I love how you pulled all of the colours together in a fun way since the picture is so much fun too!Great handknotting. Much more difficult than it appears. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThere is a trick to the hand knotting, for sure. This piece is the THIRD attempt! LOL
DeleteIt's a beautiful design using the palette colours. I love the knotting technique and you've used black cord which was a great choice.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'm reasonably pleased with how it turned out. I still have some work to do on refining the knotting technique.
DeleteA beautiful necklace, Bonnie! I chose the same palette - you knew I would :) Your necklace is happy and cheerful, love it!
ReplyDeleteOf course, I knew you would choose the same bright colour palette. No surprises there!
DeleteVery Native American looking to me, for some reason...I love it! Very cheery.
ReplyDeleteYou are the second person in less than a week to comment that one of my designs has a Native American look to it. Interesting. I'm not specifically trying to do that either.
DeleteI love the colors ,the simple beads and a beautiful necklace.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I was lucky enough to have beads on hand to match all five colours. I'm trying to use what I have in my stash before buying too many more. Wish me luck with that one. I've already broken my own rule once this week. *smile* I couldn't help myself.
DeleteWhat a great necklace! And I just love the handknotting. You have definitely mastered it.
ReplyDeleteHow very pretty. That color pallet was popular. Love the knotting it takes so much time and patience.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to participating in other challenges as well. Thanks for having me.
I will be having another colour palette challenge in a couple of months. I hope you will join in!
DeleteThanks for hosting. I put my blog up a day early. Oops, but early than late I suppose. Your design is very sweet.
ReplyDeleteNo worries. I'm just happy that you were able to participate. There will be more of these challenges down the road. I hope you will join in again.
DeleteThat certainly is a beautiful focal. And you've combined it perfectly with the other beads. Just lovely!
ReplyDeleteI knew I purchase that focal bead three years ago for a reason. I just didn't know what it was at the time. It worked well with this colour palette.
DeleteBonnie that is lovely, I love the colours they are so bright and cheerful. I have yet to post mine, I have been away and not photographed it yet, I will be blogging it tomorrow, so sorry to be late. I have loved the colour schemes though, they really did inspire me :)
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never, as they say. I'm happy that you took the time to participate. Thanks.
DeleteWow... that's a very different take from mine. I have to learn the knotting and cord use. It is very popular now.
ReplyDeleteRoberta
What an interesting take...and so different from my idea. I love the knotting & cording technique. I am going to try them.
