What is the one word or resolution that is going to help you focus on your life this year, make you more confident in your abilities, make you happy! That was the photo prompt of the week.
From the
moment I read that, the word that jumped out at me was "CREATIVITY".
I've been suffering from the creative equivalent to "writer's block"
for too long now.
I need to
set my creativity in motion this year. I have to stop over-analysing every
facet of every project and let them 'flow' as they should. I can't allow the
lack of 'perfection' stop me from completing them.
I want to
expand my creative horizons. I want to experiment with new materials and
techniques. I want to make beautiful things that I am proud of and that others
will enjoy too.
There is an
artist buried somewhere deep inside of me that I want to find and release this
year. So, hanging on the wall of my work space is this sign I made to remind me
of my purpose and keep me on track.
i LOVE the sign you made, which clearly shows the artist inside you!
ReplyDeletelooking forward to seeing more images in the year ahead...

The artist deep inside created a beautiful sign to remind you of your purpose! I think 'create' is kind of my unspoken word for this year. I did very little of it last year and now I'm ready to start again. Good luck with all you hope to do.
ReplyDeleteYep I know what you mean.. when I do quit procrastinating.. I then spend the next hour moving things around the room. Wishing everyone a most creative year!
ReplyDeleteThe artist in you is already in action! See what that artist did already!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sign you made. It should provide you inspiration for the coming year.

ReplyDeleteWonderful word and the sign you created is a lovely reminder! Creativity can be so fickle I hope you find your muse and that she inspires you the whole year through!
ReplyDeleteI believe that we are called by God to be creative forces in this world. Opening yourself to new experiences, new materials, new techniques will be a wonderful way to find your creative soul. Be open to those projects that don't work out and be ready for the lessons they will impart! I wish you joy in the journey in 2013. Enjoy the day. Erin
